Armor Wars Could be one of Marvels Fans are looking ahead as the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is getting closer to the conclusion of its Phase Four slate, and with so many projects on the horizon, we dissect the reasons why Armor Wars might be one of Marvel’s most devastating storylines.
As Marvel’s participation at the enormous D23 panel that was held this past weekend drew closer, there was an unbelievable amount of anticipation from the fanbase over what may be in store for the company.

Armor Wars Could be one of Marvels Fans were anticipating a glimpse into the forthcoming Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as a batch of storylines that should firmly incorporate the Marvel Universe into the Multiverse Saga, in light of San Diego Comic-presentation Con’s of a reorganised Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Trailers for stories such as “Secret Invasion” and “Werewolf by Night” were distributed, and so many more projects were discussed with the cast and crew. During this time, fans learned what may be in store for some of the games they had been waiting the longest to play.
One thing, though, has stood out to us about the next slate of projects, and that is the possibility that Armor Wars will be one of Marvel’s most emotionally wrenching tales to yet.
There was some talk of the impending Armor Wars series, which is a project that would see Don Cheadle play front and centre, resuming his role as James Rhodes, best known to Marvel Cinematic Universe fans as War Machine. Armor Wars Could be one of Marvels
But it was a remark from Cheadle himself that he gave to Screen Rant when they asked him about the impending film that reinforced exactly how heartbreaking and sad this production might be.
Cheadle added, “[Rhodey is] at a very different place in a way that is something that I can’t speak about, but it’s going to be extremely unexpected to a lot of people.” [Rhodey is] at a place that is something that I can’t talk about, but it’s going to be very shocking to a lot of people.

There are a couple different ways to interpret the phrase. Cheadle might be alluding to the brief sight of Rhodey that was shown in the trailer for Secret Invasion, in which he appears to be serving in some type of presidential capacity. Armor Wars Could be one of Marvels
Armor Wars will be the first Marvel Cinematic Universe project to actually provide us a window into the grief process of a character that was so close to Tony Stark. This might be what makes this project the most sad of all the Marvel Cinematic Universe projects.

Although many projects have come and gone, “Spider-Man: Far From Home” was the only one that dealt with the passing of Tony Stark on an emotional level. This was the case despite the fact that many other projects had been completed. Armor Wars Could be one of Marvels
I don’t mean to offend Peter Parker, but the fact that Tony Stark and James Rhodes were so close makes the experience that much more raw, emotional, and tragic for James Rhodes. Armor Wars Could be one of Marvels

Armor Wars will be the narrative of Rhodey’s quest to recapture Stark’s technology; but, it may also paint a stunningly tragic image of one man coming to grips with the sacrificial death of his closest friend. The plot will focus on Rhodey’s fight to reclaim Stark’s technology.
